Questions about Vaccinations?

In South Africa, the vaccination schedule for puppies, from 6 weeks to 1 year, typically includes the following:

  • 6 weeks: Nobivac DP+
  • 9 weeks: Nobivac DHPPi
  • 12 weeks: Nobivac DHPPi plus Nobivac Rabies
  • Rabies booster 30 days to 9 months later

For kittens:

  • 8 weeks (or at least 750g): Nobivac HCP
  • 12 weeks: Nobivac HCP plus Nobivac Rabies
  • Rabies booster 30 days to 9 months later

We advise an annual vaccination at one year, and then an annual check-up thereafter (but not necessarily vaccination - each animal is taken case-by-case).

Dogs:
- If a dog has never been vaccinated and is over 1 year old, they will require an initial vaccine, followed by a booster 3-4 weeks later.

For Cats:
- Similar to dogs, if a cat has never been vaccinated, a specific vaccination schedule will depend on their age.

- Cats over 1 year old who have never received vaccinations may need an initial vaccine, followed by a booster after 3-4 weeks.

It's essential to discuss this with us to determine the appropriate vaccination plan for your unvaccinated pet, ensuring their health and well-being.
